Floor Fan Repair

An old floor fan that had a cheap plastic base finally broke at the pivot point.  Clearly not designed to last forever, but it live on in the garage with a simple fix.  Replaced the plastic joints with two pieces of MDF, each with a counter sink to accept a carriage  bolt.  The carriage bolt was left long, so it can be cut to size when assembled.

The stand is AC plywood and assembled with screws and glue.  Adjustment comes from on phenolic knob on the right side, the left side has just a couple nuts (one of which is a jam nut).
