Porter Cable Table Saw Model PCB270TS Dust Port Repair

One of the nice features of the Porter Cable Table Saw Model PCB270TS is the integrated dust collection port which is used in combination with a shop vac.

Recently, the vacuum was moved with the hose still attached, the hose was caught on something and the force caused the plastic piece to break at it’s three mounting points.

The bits still attached to the port smoothed out using a file.  In the miscellaneous parts bin there were some brackets, leftover hardware from a bi-fold door.   Straightened, trimmed and formed into right-angle brackets, the perfect size to reattached the port to the saw.

Pan head bolts were used in the attempt to restrict as little airflow as possible, the bolts were trimmed flat against the nuts.

The original hardware was used to mount it back inside the saw.
