During the 1990’s as Internet access and the world wide web were becoming popular, there were several magazines covering tech and online life. One such magazine was Netguide published by CMP Media (which ceased publication in 1997). In the December 1994 issue, they published and interview with the creators of Doom, which at that time was extremely popular.
The article talks about the mod community and the multi-player aspect… common themes with today’s games.
