One of my favorite games for the Commodore 64 that I played back in the mid 80’s was Ultima 3. It was a lot of fun, but as was common back then, there was not an in-game map system. One thing key aspect of travel in the game was to use “moon gates”. These had to be discovered, their location was not documented, nor was the destination. I created a map (summer of 1983 or 1984) by hand that detailed all that information, and just recently came across it while going through some papers.
