Back in 1984 I started my post-high school education at DeVry. I was there to get a ET certificate (Electronic Technician). The first project that I worked on was the Console 80, and it was the basis for all experiments and labs. I used it throughout school and afterward also. And my kids used it too… and abused it.
The scope of this project is to replace the broken components, enclose it in a better housing and test all the functionality.
The assembly manual and schematic are key to this, luckily I have the original documentation. Here’s the scanned documentation (searchable PDF):
Thanks i have on to. I went to devry in 1984 in columbus Ohio.
Is your’s still working? Also, do you feel that DeVry provided a good education for you?
Yes, for the year that i attended Devry then i joined the USAF in 1986 and my console 80 still works just a few week a go the 5Volt regulator went out looking for a new l7805CT 5 volt regulator.
Hi Dave, I still have my console but the negative regulator is blown. on your manual would you happen to have pages 8-1 through 8-4 they are not in the pdf file. my manual was lost in a move years ago.
Hi Mark,
I did not even notice that was missing! No, I don’t have it and now I’m wondering what happened to it… I must have pulled it out when I was in school, but for reasons unknown.
Sorry about that!
Mark – Do you still need pages 8-1 through 8-4?

I recently picked up a Console 80 and I am not sure of the exact model. I do have the manual for model 8100A if anyone needs it.
I don’t have those pages, did not even realize they were missing until Mark (above comment) pointed it out. Sorry about that!
